I have "stumbled" on to your vids from time to time. I do have an interest in CF work, and this has given me ideas that will cost me a bunch of money I really don't have. 😂 As for the "imperfections", have you tried doing this with chopped fiber? Might help with the tight corners and give you the "forged" look.

First when I stumbled over one of your Videos I thought "WTF are you messing the Miata!!!" --- but after all what I´ve seen now it's more a work of Art and dedication.... keep on going ! :-)

If you make pleats on your bag where you know you're gonna have sharp corners you can prevent bridging with the extra bagging material.

24:50 I dont get why you used the inside of the shape as a mould. That way, you optained a much smaller part than what you had in cad. or maybe I am missing something. (I get that it was planned, I just think that a bigger light pod would have looked cooler) Also, if you intended to use the 3d printing as a mould, why print it with the light holes, and then plug them, when you could have printed it with the holes plugged from the start Also, you made "glitched" carbon for your wheels, why not do it for the rally lights too, and use that style all around the car? (ok I saw the extra footage now, hope to see the glitch carbon look coming again!

We're all in with the sanding jokes, but that is a testament to your patience and dedication. If I may : did you try at some point to print with ABS and do some vaport smoothing to avoid the painful PLA sanding ?

You've probably heard of it, but I use something called 'car system carbo spray filler' at work, it's a high build polyester clear that specifically designed to be sprayed onto carbon to fill voids and pinholes. They also have a putty that's quite handy.
